Why the following java code is returning true?

i am starting java and found this very weird thing...if you see the following code snippet...

boolean b1 = false;

boolean b2 = false;

boolean b3 = true;

if(b1 && b2 && b3){

System.out.println("true");

}

b1 is false and b2 and b3 are true.But still it is printing the statement...is this a bug or what?

A:

The problem is that && is short-circuiting, which is a short name for 'if A then B, otherwise C'.

So b1 && b2 checks to see if b1 is false, and if it is, it stops at that stage, and does not consider the second condition.
